WCS hosts many programs that are dedicated for students with a love for STEM and the arts. I came into the district in elementary school and it was a huge step up from my school district in Detroit. Senior: The programs offered within WCS has allowed me to find my passions and flourish. I would tell more but the Character limit wont let me. I took it when he suggested and took his advice and I aced it, I know that in the Gestalt of education this is miniscule but this act of kindness deserves to be remembered amongst the virtues of this place. A year ago I missed a few days of school with Covid and when I got back I needed to take a math test, and on the day I was supposed to take it I asked my math teacher about it (expecting too try and fail) He told me too wait a few more days and study, even though he wasn't supposed to give me more time to take it he gave me a bit more time to study because I was so busy taking care of work from other classes. Id say the positives outweigh the negatives significantly however. Junior: The Schools not perfect obviously, one time the girls bathroom flooded and we all got sent home because water was falling from the ceiling, and also the bathrooms are a tiny bit dirty sometimes, (not the staffs fault but its still the school).
